1. Faceplate – Purpose is to both conceal the locktube and the infill screws. The faceplate is .062 thick aluminum.
2. Locktube – 1 x 1 1/4 galvennealed tube which adds strength to the mainframe and houses the locking mechanism.
3. Infill – choice of 12 or 16 gauge galvannealed perforated steel or .028 x 12 x 12 304 stainless mesh. These are the most common infills but other are available. Infill attached to mainframe using stainless steel fasteners every 5”. Normally powder coated black.
4. Lock Assembly – The guard opens or closes using a single point locking mechanism. The guard is secured in a closed position with 1/4" diameter steel bolts. These bolts are connected using a stainless steel lockbar. Guards will have a minimum of 2 bolts and will use 3 when a guard height exceeds 5 feet.
5. Subframe – .090 aluminum extrusion which houses the mainframe. The subframe provides a sturdy means of locking the guard as well as providing a means for installing the guard.
6. Lock guard and handle – the steel lock conceals and protects the locking handle. Panic hardware is available as an option.
7. Finish – Powder coated. We have 9 standard colors, other available upon request
